Vel’s paintings capture the beauty of wildlife in their natural surroundings. Her canvas is also a work of nature, specially selected and prepared. Using oils, Vel carefully paints the wildlife on the wood’s surface, taking advantage of it’s color, grain, holes, knots, bark and uniqueness.
